Business Analyst (Technology)
** This is a direct hire position for one of our clients located in Minneapolis, MN. With a hybrid office culture, you will be required on-site 3 days per week. Candidates must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.**
We are currently seeking a talented and driven individual to join our team as a Business Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and defining technology requirements while effectively managing day-to-day operations of technology workstreams. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with technology teams and business stakeholders to gather and validate technology requirements.
Work collaboratively with team members to break down requests into actionable tasks, creating user stories and acceptance tests that align with sprint cycles.
Create detailed process maps for technology projects to enhance stakeholder and team understanding.
Contribute to defining new system products, features, and minimum viable products.
Efficiently manage day-to-day operations by adding, monitoring, and updating work tickets using our project management system.
Actively participate in key Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and quarterly planning sessions.
Collaborate closely with Agile Product Owner and technology team Scrum Masters to identify, address, and escalate risks, roadblocks, and cross-team dependencies.
Contribute to user acceptance testing, ensuring seamless functionality that aligns with business needs.
Provide support for various ad hoc projects within the organization, showcasing your versatility and adaptability.
Fulfill additional duties as required, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Required:
Hold a Bachelor's degree and possess 1-3 years of experience as a business analyst, product owner, or project manager.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and their role in fostering collaboration.
Strong ability to effectively communicate technical issues to diverse audiences.
Solid understanding of the impact of technical efforts on business goals and initiatives.
Ability to merge technical understanding with knowledge of business rules, driving value through technology initiatives.
Known for integrity, providing direct and empathetic assessments of circumstances.
Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective prioritization and execution of tasks within demanding deadlines.
Quick learner with the ability to grasp new ideas and concepts rapidly.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Thrives in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Capable of coordinating work across multiple priorities and time zones.
Preferred:
Experience in the financial services or investments industry.
Exposure to working with a high-touch client/user base.
Familiarity with fast-paced work environments.
Proficiency in Agile tracking software such as Open Project, Jira, etc.
Experience with process mapping tools like Visio, Miro, LucidChart, etc.
Scrum training or certification, project management experience, or practical Agile framework utilization.
Strong advocate for Agile values and principles.
